Traditionally, one Marine in every fireteam of four is equipped with an underbarrel grenade launcher, and the most modern variant of these is the M320. Also capable of being fired in a standalone configuration, the M320 fires all of the vast array of 40mm grenades available to the U.S. armed forces, including a wide selection of explosive, smoke, marking, and illumination rounds.
For the purposes of Down Range, Marines are assumed to be carrying enough 40mm rounds, either on the grenadier or more broadly distributed, to make the supply of grenades a matter of least concern.
Players may also wish to have this unit represent a Marine equipped with an M203 40mm grenade launcher, an older but still eminently serviceable model.
